This part says a lot about Thor’s character. Him, walking through a crowd, smiling, seemingly happy and at ease. Because of course Thor would be the kind to put on a smile for everyone, no matter what, to have them believe that everything’s alright. Because he’s the thunderer, the golden son, always smiling and laughing and shining in every way possible. Of course he’ll offer a smile to Frigga -and put less effort in it because she’s his mother, and she knows- and then when no one’s around to see him, no one to be strong for, the smile is gone.
